My twin and I were born the same year as this mall and my grandparents lived about 3 miles from Eastland. After we (Mom, Dad, and twin) moved to TX, we would return to visit grandparents for 2 weeks every October. My Mom and Grandma would take us to Eastland where we played all around the fountain, the revolving doors of Hudson's, the lion, and the hippo and Saunder's hot fudge-it was a VERY special time and a beautiful memory.
